Give Them The Gift Of Music

The human auditory system has an amazing range and that portion we use for language, occupies a tiny fraction. We do not use pitch to communicate, but we could. We are saying that humans have the ability to discern musical pitch in exactly the same way we all interpret the native sounds of our language. Although using pitch to communicate is impractical, learning pitch as a separate language gives that child entry into an entirely new and amazing world, formerly known to only a small number but now available to all.
